Lee Pitcher is a dynamic and successful executive, with strong social values, and a recognised industry expert for his dedication to environmental improvement. His career has seen him invited to give keynote speeches on a global stage, like COP26

His pioneering work in the area of flood resilience, where he has directed the Living with Water programme, has gained national recognition by winning the British Quality Foundation’s Award for Excellence in Collaboration and most recently, the Sir John Fowler Award from the Institute of Civil Engineers.

With two decades of experience in the environmental sector, Lee has led large operational waste water functions, delivered change programmes and been at the forefront of innovative partnership working in areas like natured based solutions (blue-green infrastructure) and community engagement to deliver broader societal, environmental and economic benefits.

Recently, Lee’s diversity in leading organisations has come to the fore as he became the Chair of the Hull City of Culture legacy charity, Absolutely Cultured which under his directorship has just become a National Portfolio Organisation for the first time.
